Neat brings scanned documents to life, using InDocument Identification (ID2) technology to read and understand key information, then automatically organizing what it sees. The resulting digital files are useful and usable – easy to find, easy to access, and easy to share.

NeatDesk will scan in your receipts, business cards, or documents at a speedy 24 pages per minute. Scan up to 50 pages at once – 1 or 2-sided, color or B&W, single or multi-page.

Neat reads and extracts the information from whatever you scan. Receipts become digital records with vendors and amounts, business cards become digital contacts, and documents become fully keyword searchable.

Create tax or expense reports with your receipt data, or export to Excel®, Quicken®, or TurboTax®. Sync your contacts with Outlook® or Address Book. Find what you need with a keyword, and organize it however you like.

Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 Review

By Priya Modi - December 7, 2015

You are a small business owner. Now your company is growing, which means your needs are changing. Maybe you want to keep better records?  How about gearing up to a paperless office? Or simply have duplicate records in digital form? Whether it is for home, office, or personal use, the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 is a smart, flexible, and fast scanner to match your changing needs.

The iX500 scanner is compact for a desktop, yet large enough to get the job done. To install, you need to go through the setup process on each device. You can do this by connecting the USB 3.0 to the scanner and then to the computer or via Wi-Fi for your mobile devices. Now you are ready to use the one-button concept to scan either to a Windows or Apple computer or an iOS or Android device. Thanks to the ScanSnap Connect App you can directly scan to your mobile device via Wi-Fi.

The Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 document feeder is excellent which rates at scanning 25 ppm (pages per minute). Speed and image quality is good for its category. You can scan fragile or crinkled paper and it will go in smoothly.  If you get in a scan jam, the quick-paper jam removal feature allows you to easily remove the cover whenever there is an issue. The software is self-explanatory and lets you configure settings based on your needs. The method of routing scans offers you to send the scanned document directly to any of the ten destinations such as “Scan to Google docs”, “Scan to PowerPoint”, or “Scan to E-mail”.

Most of the features work well, but they are not perfect. Business card scanning for example can use improvement on formatting such as orientation. The nice part is that once you scan any document you have the ability to organize the documents in categories, and edit the pdf's with the included Adobe Acrobat application. So, whether you’re a small business owner or a couscous consumer, the Fujitsu ix500 is a no brainer. The ix500  will help you get organized and avoid filing endless documents in paper form.
