Nintendo New 3DS XL Review
by Rachael Kalinyak - November 22, 2015
Review
Although the name seems to invoke a sense of deja-vu, the New Nintendo 3DS is a handheld gaming console to hold your attention. With the new design and the implementation of new controls, there are now more gaming opportunities than ever.
Games are brought to life in ways never experienced before thanks to the new face-tracking feature. By allowing the inner camera to sense your viewing angle, the 3D effects are adjusted accordingly - an enormous improvement over the previous system. Plus there is interactive amiibo software that brings forth an all new level of gameplay. Simply place the amiibo figure on the near-field communication reader located on the lower screen and, BAM, bonuses of all kinds for the interactive gamer and collector.
Worried about having to buy all new games for your brand new console? Don’t - the New Nintendo 3DS is backwards compatible with nearly all games from previous systems saving you both time and money! And, thanks to the improved CPU performance, these same games will take less time to load - meaning more time for play! Whether it be watching videos or surfing the web for the latest gaming news, the New Nintendo 3DS is equipped for the job.
The New Nintendo 3DS may not hold enough improvements for a 3DS upgrade; however, if you are considering upgrading from an older system, such as the DSi, the New 3DS is definitely a consideration, especially if the improved 3D gaming effect, faster loading, and the new variety of control possibilities are important to you and your gaming.
